Obstruction of both is an immediate indication for IVF.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The sono-HSG examination, or ultrasonographic hysterosalpingography, is used to assess the condition of the fallopian tubes and the uterine cavity. The examination can detect obstructions of the fallopian tubes and abnormalities in the structure or shape of the uterus that may cause difficulties in getting pregnant or maintaining a pregnancy. Sono-HSG is an effective and safe diagnostic method. It allows us to diagnose fallopian tube obstruction in approximately 3% of all women presenting to the clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"videos block_eccb1bd4ea7dc4cbf604f2128e4b6cb4\">\n        <div class=\"videos__wrapper\">\n        <header class=\"videos__header\">\n            <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"kiedy-wskazane-jest-sono-hsg\">When is Sono HSG indicated?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The examination is performed to detect possible abnormalities of the shape or structure of the uterus and obstruction of the fallopian tubes. In the diagnosis of infertility, it is an important step towards clarifying the causes. Abnormal structure of the uterine cavity and obstructed fallopian tubes can be a major obstacle to pregnancy.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n        <\/header>\n            <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"HSG Sono examination\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/391HYmHZbmE?start=1&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"przygotowanie-do-badania-sono-hsg\">Preparation for the Sono-HSG examination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cytology and cervical canal culture, as well as virological tests (Anti-HIV 1,2, HBS Antigen, VDRL, Anti-HBc, Anti-HCV) are required before the procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Invimed clinics, the procedure is performed under anaesthesia at the patient's request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the procedure is performed under general anaesthesia, you must be fasting. If the patient chooses not to have anaesthesia, she can eat a light breakfast in the morning. The urinary bladder must be filled.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"jak-wyglada-zabieg-sono-hsg\">What does the Sono-HSG procedure look like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The procedure takes place in the doctor's office. In the gynaecological chair, the doctor dilates the vaginal walls with a speculum and inserts a transvaginal catheter, ending in a balloon. Once it is filled, the gynaecologist injects special contrast, which enters the uterus and fallopian tubes through the cervix. While the fluid is being injected, the doctor inserts an ultrasound probe. He then observes the shape and size of the uterine cavity and the flow of contrast through the fallopian tubes on the camera's monitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The test takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes. The result is available immediately. Sometimes it happens that the fluid administered during the procedure helps to unclog the congested fallopian tubes, enabling the woman to become pregnant - a therapeutic function of Sono HSG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"cta-3\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container cta-3__container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"position-relative cta-3__wrapper\">\n\t\t                    <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The Sono HSG test is performed in the first phase of the cycle, after complete cessation of menstrual bleeding and spotting, before ovulation.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n                \t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"videos block_eccb1bd4ea7dc4cbf604f2128e4b6cb4\">\n        <div class=\"videos__wrapper\">\n        <header class=\"videos__header\">\n            <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"niedroznosc-jajowodow-objawy\">Fallopian tube obstruction - symptoms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of obstructed fallopian tubes, there are no symptoms to suggest fallopian tube obstruction.
