The Desirial Plus procedure involves the introduction of Desirial, a preparation containing hyaluronic acid, into the subcutaneous tissue. Depending on the patient's needs, the procedure can be used to restore intimate comfort (revitalisation of the greater labia and vagina) or to enlarge the G-spot.

Indications for the use of Desirial:

  • vaginal dryness, lack of proper lubrication (during menopause or in connection with the intake of certain medications: antipsychotics and antidepressants, isotretinoin);

  • lack of orgasm (e.g. due to a decrease in the G-spot with age or a decrease in the number of sensory receptors);

  • Irritation of the vulva and vagina, causing discomfort and itching;

  • partial or complete atrophy of the greater labia (after menopause or due to genetic factors);

  • a feeling of tension and burning;

  • vulvodynia (chronic vulvar and vaginal pain).

Course and effects of Desirial Plus treatment

In the case of revitalisation of the greater labia minora, Desirial is inserted symmetrically, into both labia minora, using a special 1-2 mm diameter cannula. The hyaluronic acid contained in Desirial fills and contours the labia minora, improves the volume and hydration of the skin and allows for the reconstruction of two labia minora of equal size. Proper hydration is also restored in the middle and deep layers of the dermis. The effect of the procedure appears immediately and lasts from one to two years.

When the aim of the Desirial Plus procedure is to enlarge the G-spot, the preparation is inserted into the thickening in the anterior vaginal wall after anaesthesia. The G-spot is enlarged, so that the woman feels pleasure more intensely during sexual intercourse. The effect of the treatment is immediate, but - it is worth noting - optimal enlargement of the G-spot takes place within two weeks of injection (the treatment area enlarges by another 20-30%).

The Desirial Plus procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is completely painless for most patients. After the application of hyaluronic acid to the intimate area, women notice many positive changes:

  • unpleasant symptoms, such as vaginal dryness and itching, disappear;

  • the skin of the intimate area becomes stronger, firmer and more elastic;

  • physical activity (especially cycling and fitness) stops causing painful abrasions and other mechanical injuries;

  • the quality of sex life improves.

After Desirial Plus treatment, for 1-2 weeks the patient should avoid activities that involve high pressure on the perineal area, such as horse riding or cycling.

Requirements for the Desirial Plus treatment

Before a woman undergoes Desirial Plus treatment, she should discuss her situation (problems, expectations regarding the treatment, etc.) with her doctor and undergo a gynaecological examination. A current cytology result is necessary.

Contraindications to Desirial Plus treatment

The Desirial Plus procedure should not be performed in pregnant women or women with a cold. Herpes, skin lesions of the vulva and inflammation of the vulva are also contraindications to the procedure.
