Fertility cocktails, or how to boost fertility and increase libido.
Cocktail 1: Green me!
Green is the colour of life, hope and spring, and it is also the colour of a delicious fertility cocktail, the recipe for which was developed by Ada Barczynska. The cocktail not only has salutary powers, but is above all delicious! The participants of our workshop in Katowice can confirm this. Would you like to try it?
Here is the recipe for 1 portion:
- Washed spinach - handful
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Bananas - 1 piece
- Lime - 1/4 piece
- Linseed or chia seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Linseed oil - 1 teaspoon
- Still mineral water - to the right consistency 🙂
Everything is blended and ready to go!
Enjoy!
Cocktail 2: Boost your fertility and libido
Delicious cocktails don't have to be sweet at all. The next suggestion will delight your palate - and without an ounce of sugar or sweet fruit. Why is this so important? Too much sugar leads to sugar shock for the body, as well as the ageing of egg cells and sperm, which can reduce the chances of conception. For this reason, your fertility diet should be rich in good, low-sugar fruits, including green apples, pears, kiwi and berries. Discover a recipe that will fortify your body with vitamins, healthy fats and natural probiotics.
- 1 kiwi
- ½ avocado
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- A pinch of sea salt
- 1 glass of water
- 1 tbsp organic coconut yoghurt
- 1 tbsp collagen powder
- 1 tsp real vanilla bean powder
- 1 tbsp avocado oil (optional)
- Flat teaspoon of spirulina powder (optional)
Mix all the ingredients and add as much water as you need to get the consistency you want.
Cocktail 3: The fertility potion of Chinese medicine
Vitamins are key, and there is certainly no shortage of them in a traditional Chinese medicine smoothie. The first and most important ingredient in this smoothie is greens - it could be spinach, broccoli, kale or arugula, which are rich in folic acid. This is a B vitamin that has a beneficial effect on ovulation. In addition, green, leafy vegetables increase libido, so they are an essential menu ingredient in a fertility diet. You can add any greens to this recipe. Always serve the smoothie at room temperature, as cold drinks are not beneficial for uterine function.
- ½ cup steamed greens
- ½ cup blueberries
- 1 tbsp protein powder
- 1 tbsp walnut oil
- 1 scoop of powdered wheatgrass
- 1 teaspoon spirulina
- 1/5 cup coconut milk
How to boost fertility? Create your own cocktail recipe!
We encourage you to try the suggested recipes to fall in love with their flavours and health-promoting effects. Once you have tried them, you can also create your own smoothies. What do you need to keep in mind when composing smoothies and a fertility diet? First and foremost, you need to include natural sources of protein in them. These include quinoa, nuts, flax seeds or pumpkin seeds, among others. Alternatives include collagen powders and plant protein supplements. Avoid pea protein, however.
Add superfoods to your smoothie too. One excellent option is spirulina. This green alga, found in fresh and oceanic waters, is rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Equally good is wheatgrass, which lowers FSH hormone levels, balances all other hormones and improves cell health. Maca can also be part of your fertility smoothie recipe - it's a natural energising plant that boosts fertility and supports your endocrine system.
A fertility-boosting diet needs to include Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Fortunately, these are very easy to add to smoothies. Olive oil, nut or pumpkin seed oils, ground walnuts, flax seeds, avocados, almonds or nut pastes work best. You can also add sources of natural probiotics, i.e. kefir, natural yoghurt or coconut yoghurt.
For a boost of flavour, sprinkle and blend a handful of green vegetables or fruit. We particularly recommend blueberries and raspberries, which are full of natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory phytonutrients that help boost fertility in both men and women. Like citrus fruits, they are rich in folic acid and vitamin C, which promote foetal development.
