New Year's resolution.
Our story of trying for a baby boy started in January 2017. It was like a New Year's resolution... We are going to have a baby this year! Unfortunately, month after month, when it turned out I wasn't pregnant, sadness and tears came. Throughout the year we kept explaining to ourselves that the next month we would definitely make it.
At the beginning of January 2018, my fiancé and I decided it was time to do some research and see if we needed help from doctors to get pregnant. We searched the internet for information on what tests we needed to do and what specialists to see.
We came across the website of one infertility clinic and information about a free insemination campaign it was running for 150 couples who had not managed to get pregnant for at least a year.
After consulting with my fiancé, I filled in and sent in the application form. A few days later, I received a phone call from the coordinator who interviewed me. The interview went well and we were immediately scheduled for our first appointment with the doctor who would guide our process of trying for a baby.
During the visit, the doctor interviewed us about our health, our history of trying for a baby and the tests we had carried out. It turned out that all the necessary tests would be carried out as part of the free clinical trial programme. I was referred for cytology, blood tests and HSG. It turned out that my results were very good. My fiancé also underwent diagnostics - it turned out that his blood results were very good and his semen quality test results were normal.
The first insemination was unfortunately unsuccessful. After a few months we tried again. The tests came out very well. Everything was 100% ok and I felt it was that time. We went for follicle monitoring - it was 26mm - the doctor said it was beautiful
