It has been ten years. Years in which euphoria and determination - "yes, it MUST work now, there's no other option and it's over" - have repeatedly been a guest in our home. But also years in which total resignation knocked intrusively at our door.
It has been ten years. Years in which euphoria and determination - "yes, it MUST work now, there's no other option and it's over" - have repeatedly been a guest in our home. But also years in which total resignation knocked intrusively at our door.
The last ten years of unsuccessful efforts, misdiagnoses, tears. Bad moments that often resulted in reluctance to meet friends who had a little one at home. A reluctance that made my own sister afraid to tell me about her pregnancy for four months....
These years were also a period of surrender to fate, or coming to terms with a situation that saw us 'borrowing' kids from family and neighbours and taking them on trips, dog walks and other adventures.
In 2013, we were inspired again. We ended up at the Invimed clinic in Poznan.
First treatment - miss - tears again. The second also. Although we drove home convinced that it had worked. The third one... I was in the car all the way home crying like a mad dog... I was convinced that our efforts had once again been for nothing. My husband held my hand and comforted me. He did not show that he was afraid, but at home he cried with me.
My husband kissed my belly every day throughout my pregnancy. I am grateful to him that he was there for me, from beginning to end. That he is by our side today.
Our Spring is now 3 years old...and she is our most precious treasure. Don't give up dear ones! Spring is coming. Even after the hardest and longest winter!
