Specialist gynaecologist-obstetrician, Specialist in gynaecological and reproductive endocrinology at Invimed Poznań
Professor Leszek Pawelczyk is co-founder of the Centre for In vitro Fertilisation at the Gynaecological-Obstetrical Clinical Hospital on Polna Street in Poznań. It was here in 1999 that the first child was born from the IVF programme in Wielkopolska.
He is co-founder and president of the Wielkopolska Society for the Development of Infertility Research and Treatment Methods.
For many years he has been a provincial consultant in Gynaecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Endocrinology for the Wielkopolska region. Founder and for many years Head of the Clinic of Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology and then of the Department of Infertility Diagnostics and Treatment in Poznan.
He was co-founder and one of three experts of the Government's In vitro Fertility Treatment Programme implemented between 2013 and 2016.
His professional and scientific interests mainly include the problems of infertility and in vitro assisted reproduction techniques, reproductive endocrinology - with a special focus on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) - and gynaecological endoscopy.
