Surplus embryos can be frozen (cryopreservation) and used in subsequent cycles without the need for hormonal stimulation again. The couple can also choose to destroy them or donate them for research purposes.
After embryo transfer, it is advisable to avoid intense exercise for a few days. It is not necessary to lie in bed - normal life activities are advisable and do not affect the chances of implantation.
