Labioplasty - reduction of the labia minora

Labioplasty is a surgical procedure involving the reduction and shaping of the labia using a laser. It is performed under local anaesthetic, removing excess tissue from the greater or lesser lips. MonaLisa Touchâ„¢ laser technology offers significant advantages over traditional methods. The laser coagulates the tissue, eliminating bleeding and minimising the risk of scarring. Additionally, it stimulates collagen production, increasing tissue elasticity. The procedure has a shorter healing time and less post-operative discomfort. Find out the details of this cutting-edge aesthetic gynaecology procedure.

Labioplasty involves reducing the labia majora and/or labia minora and shaping them using a specialised laser tip. Excess labia tissue is trimmed by laser. The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic.

Highlights

  • Labioplasty is a procedure to reduce and shape the labia using a specialised laser handpiece under local anaesthetic.
  • The MonaLisa Touchâ„¢ laser eliminates bleeding by coagulating the tissue, reduces the risk of scarring and dramatically reduces healing time.
  • The laser treatment stimulates collagen production, increasing the firmness and elasticity of the tissue in the intimate area.
  • Laser labioplasty offers better results and greater safety than traditional scalpel procedures.

Advantages of the laser labioplasty procedure

Labioplasty procedures performed with the MonaLisa Touchâ„¢ laser are safer and offer better results than those performed with a scalpel.

The laser stimulates tissue coagulation so that there is no bleeding. This reduces the risk of post-operative scarring, reduces swelling of the treatment area and post-operative discomfort and dramatically reduces healing time.

The laser not only contours the external intimate areas of a woman's body, but also increases the firmness and elasticity of the tissue by stimulating collagen production.

Frequently asked questions - FAQ

Does labioplasty affect intimate sensitivity?

Professionally performed labioplasty should not adversely affect sensitivity. Modern laser techniques are precise and preserve natural nerve endings, often even improving intimate comfort.

When can I return to normal activity after labioplasty?

You can return to work after just 2-3 days, but physical activity should be restricted for 2 weeks. Intimate intercourse is only possible after 4-6 weeks, when the tissues have completely healed.

What are the contraindications to labioplasty?

The procedure should not be performed during pregnancy, menstruation, with active intimate infections or autoimmune diseases. Age under 18 is also a contraindication without specific medical reasons.
