Increase your chance of pregnancy with IVF! Fertile Chip for free for qualified couples.

What is the Fertile Chip?

Fertile Chip (Microfluidic Sperm Sorting Chip) is a small plate with great possibilities. It looks inconspicuous but is an extremely complex tool for sperm selection. It consists of microscopic channels built on the principles of hydrodynamics, which in nature guide the interactions between the sperm and the female reproductive tract.

The Fertile Chip mimics the difficult path of the sperm to the egg. It is a kind of labyrinth - the fastest to overcome it are the best. In this way, the embryologist obtains sperm of the highest genetic quality, correctly structured and appropriately mobile. From these, he selects those to be injected into the egg cell.

Sperm selection with the Fertile Chip increases the chance of normal embryos and IVF success.

Is the Fertile Chip effective?

The efficacy of the Fertile Chip is confirmed by clinical studies conducted in the United States, Spain, Turkey, Switzerland and Italy. Those conducted at Stanford University have shown that semen sorted using the Fertile Chip not only has higher motility, but also has a significantly higher percentage of morphologically normal sperm with high DNA integrity.

Other studies have also shown an increase in the pregnancy rate at first embryo transfer to 56% compared to 33% (European average) for IVF procedures using standard sperm selection methods. This is possible because, with the Fertile Chip, the percentage of fertilised oocytes is significantly higher, the embryos obtained develop better and mostly implant, thus significantly increasing the chance of achieving a pregnancy.

How can the Fertile Chip be used?

Patients are qualified for IVF procedures with Fertile Chip by their doctor. At InviMed, it costs £800 to use Fertile Chip as an assistive IVF technique. However, as part of a New Year's promotion - until the end of March 2019, couples with appropriate medical indications will incur no additional costs for this.

If you want to use the Fertile Chip for free, ask your doctor at InviMed or come to InviMed for your first infertility consultation.
