In vitro funding for couples from Slupsk.

Amount of funding

Funding for the in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedure is up to £6,000.

The funding covers only the biotechnology part, i.e:

  • oocyte puncture and semen collection,
  • carrying out an in vitro fertilisation procedure,
  • embryo breeding and development,
  • embryo transfer into the uterine cavity in a fresh cycle or 1 cryo-transfer (in programme funding years),
  • Vitrification of embryos with preserved developmental potential and their storage for 1 year.

Who can benefit from the funding?

Participants in the Programme can be couples who are unable to carry out their reproductive plans naturally and will meet the conditions set out in the Programme.

Criteria for participation in the Programme:

  • female age between 20 and 40 years,
  • fulfilment of the conditions set out in the Act for undertaking in vitro fertilisation treatment in the context of partner donation,
  • residence for at least one year (both men and women) in the City of Słupsk and settlement of personal income tax (PIT) with the Słupsk Tax Office (verification on the basis of the last PIT return),
  • agreeing to cover the costs of storing cryopreserved embryos after one year and their cryotransfers (apart from the first cryotransfer if no fresh-cycle transfer has been performed) on their own, as well as the costs of cryopreservation of oocytes, if any,
  • cohabitation (man and woman).

Exclusion criteria for participation in the programme:

  • for couples embarking on an in vitro fertilisation procedure in the context of partner donation,
  • the potential risk of not responding correctly to ovulation stimulation (determined by FSH and AMH values),
  • recurrent pregnancy loss in the same relationship (more than three documented miscarriages),
  • inadequate response to correctly performed ovulation stimulation, which may be manifested by failure to obtain oocytes in two stimulation cycles,
  • uterine defects,
  • no uterus.

Couples who qualify for the Programme will receive free of charge:

  1. Programme eligibility visit
  2. Psychological consultation
  3. Care of a medical care coordinator throughout the treatment, instruction in medication administration
  4. Dietary consultation
  5. Embryological consultation
  6. 1 year free storage of embryos
