Testing for viruses and infectious diseases

Patients must be tested for viruses and infectious diseases prior to any treatment at our clinic.

Anti-HIV 1.2

HIV antibodies is a test recommended for couples planning a pregnancy. Infecting the expectant mother with HIV raises the risk of transmission to the foetus.

HBs AG, Anti-HBc, Anti-HCV-Ab

are performed to detect the incidence of hepatitis B and C.

VDRL (WR)

This test makes it possible to exclude or confirm the presence of the bacteria responsible for the development of syphilis. Syphilis infection can, in extreme cases, cause miscarriage, premature birth or even death of the newborn.

Chlamydia trachomatis PCR (cervical swab)

Without recognition of chlamydiosis and treatment, the infection can cause obstruction of the fallopian tubes, resulting in decreased fertility and an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy. Read more>>

Cytomegalovirus IgG, IgM, Rubella IgG, IgM, Toxoplasmosis IgG, IgM

These viruses cause early miscarriages and fetal abnormalities.

No preparation is needed for the blood test. The absence of IgG and IgM antibodies indicates the absence of cytomegalovirus infection and indicates that the patient has never had contact with it. IgG antibodies as a result of the test are suggestive of past infection, and IgM antibodies are a sign of current infection.
